Revisiting the Past?

When the past comes tapping you on your shoulder,
It's ok to look back but don't ever walk back.
Look in front and move forward.

After coming back from Lego Land the other day, we had to send Megat back to his house as his dad couldn't pick him up.. On the way Ronn kind of got lost to go to Megat's house and we passed someone's old house. And something just occurred to me. Honestly I don't freaking care. Not that because I had lost interest on this person. It's more of what's in the past has no more significance to me then it should be to anyone. And that's what we are gonna talk about. THE PAST.

Me being as bitchy as I am, I can proudly say I am no saint. But I try to not judge people from their past. Of course knowing the information will definitely change my perception on that person one way other the other. But like I say, I'll TRY not to judge. What matters is about living in the present and looking forward for the future. The past is called the past for a reason. It already happened there is no point on crying over spilled milk. It's done. What I'm trying to say is, everyone is entitled to start a clean slate with every single opportunity they have.

But as a person who knows about a person's past, it doesn't entitle us into revealing their past on their behalf. That is just plain unfair.

I'm not saying that the past is not important. Of course its important. With out it we'll never learn our mistakes and we'll forget who we were and what has it made us today. But there are a certain limitations for us to let the past to hold us into one place only. The past can be used as a reminder but not as an anchor. We r meant to move about. Its only gonna hold us back if we let it.

So what I'm trying to say is take the past, your past as a reminder so you won't repeat the same mistake twice but never use it to hold u back. And knowing others past is for us to know but not to act on. Don't get so stuck in the past while you can live in the moment and look forward for the future.

Think about it...

Love,
Farcella. M

A Day In LalaLand.. Opps.. LegoLand

Hello there my dear awesome, awesome readers!! How have you been? It's been ages since I wrote an entry. Missed me?

Anyway, Diva's Daily for today is my experience to LegoLand Malaysia.Ah this is always the hardest part... to actually start. (>_<) ugh! Ok let’s start with “Pre-Trip” planning.

Pre-Trip Planning

To begin with, we have been planning to go on this trip for ages. Like since the first day LegoLand was announced to be opened in September. Ugh! How rude of me! Not explaining who is “We”? You see within the past 2 months to September, Ronn, Paul and Me had been hanging out together a lot. And like almost everything we did together, planning for LegoLand was done upon impulse. However, upon getting the information from a friend of mine in Johor, that by the grand opening, LegoLand hasn’t been completed completely yet. A lot of rides were not available yet. So when I told this to Ronn and Paul, instead of going to LegoLand a week after the grand opening, the plan was put on hold until further notice.

Then not until two weeks ago, the plan had resurfaced. Ronn and me reconstruct the planning and invited more people. Since initially it was only Ronn, Paul and me who had known about this plan, we shared the planning to more people. We invited Adesh (Paul’s friend), Michael and his Girl, Megat, Zahrah (Ronn’s A-Level friend), and Sookie and her Boyfie.

The trip was supposed to take place late this week. But since Megat had to go to Kedah just this recent Thursday, the trip was moved up to either on the 27th Nov or on the 28th Nov.  Then on last Friday night Megat dropped another bomb that he can go if we have the trip on Tuesday since Wednesday was a no, no. (=.=)’’’ seriously? Obviously it was serious. So with the date set, it was the people who wanted to go had to be confirmed. Eventually, only Ronn, Megat and I manage to make it for the trip.

·         Paul couldn’t go because his parents wouldn’t let him and it was too rushed.
·         Adesh couldn’t go because he had exams.
·         Zahrah was in Jakarta so there’s no way she could make it even if she wanted to.
·     Michael? Well I texted and sent a Facebook message. He didn’t reply to either one. So I didn’t do any follow ups.
·         Sookie? Well I texted her, she did reply but couldn’t make it if it was arranged the very week we wanted to go.

So yeah, this is what happened when you rush plan everything. Since I am pretty much clueless about the stuff here (Peninsular Malaysia region), I had to leave the planning go to Ronn and Megat to deal with. Ronn find out as much as he could for the theme park and Megat was asked to deal with the transportation’s information. Bastard suggested taking the plane... is he insane?! Geez! Obviously I vetoed against the suggestion and went for the obvious. Bus ride. To get them bus tickets, we went to TBS, KL. Cost us RM58 for the bus tickets, to and fro. Pretty good deal really. Ronn got the entry tickets to LegoLand via online purchase and had Megat to print it for us. So bus tickets and LalaLand entry pass purchased and printed, we are set to go. And this was done Monday.

Bus Tickets & LegoLand’s Entry Pass

That night I slept earlier than usual but my roomy was still with her dramas which made it hard for me to sleep. Though forgiven since, I sometimes do it too. (>_<) Sorry Irene.

Trip Day

First 4hours of an 8hours bus ride...

Woke up to my alarm at 5.30 in the morning, I was still sleepy since I got less than 4 hours of sleep. I woke my ass up and went and dive in the cold morning shower to wake up. I put together my attire, pack up the extra cloths Ronn suggested us to bring since there are some you’re-gonna-get-wet rides available in Legoland and we certainly wouldn’t miss it for the world to try it out, and I also packed up my overnight bag since later that day I have to stay at his (Ronn’s) house since by the time we reached KL it’ll be way past my hostel’s curfew. Ronn reached my place at 6.45 a.m. then we headed to Megat’s house. Reached his house sometime around 7.05 and had Ronn texting him announcing our arrival in front of his house gate. Megat called back 5 minutes later telling us he needed to cook his instant noodles and he needed few minutes to get it done. Take a wild guess how long did he took to “cook” his instant noodles? 20 bloody minutes! Since he took 20 minutes to show his face in front of the car, you’d assume he’d be done eating his breakfast? You guessed wrong! He came out bearing a CUP INSTANT NOODLES! That fucked up food only takes me accountably 5 minutes to have it cooked and chow-down my throat! Apparently Mr. Fucking Genius here had to “Fry” his Maggie first. Damn it! Who fry their CUP noodles? If you say the instant noodles in the packet then yes! Even I do it from time to time. And honestly speaking, even if I were to fry that noodles, I only needed an extra 5 minutes to get it done including cleaning up my cooking mess. As from the smell of the noodles, it was only EGG he added into the noodles. For someone who suggested us to get ready at the crack of dawn, he surely took his own sweet time wasting a good 20 minutes on a bloody fried cup noodles.

Finally getting a move on to TBS, we got stuck in the same area for almost 1 hour. Just in the nick of time, we reached the bus station and finally got out breakfast. Mineral water and a packet of twin Twigees for me and mineral water and few packets of Gardenia’s waffle for Ronn. The bus came slightly 10 minutes off schedule. Nevertheless, we were on our seats and were well on our way to Johor’s Larkin bus central. Bus ride from KL to Larkin took a good 4 hours. Ronn and Megat utilized this time to reclaim lost sleep while I submerge myself into reading Daniel Silva’s Secret Servant before my head decide it was too woozy to read in the bus. Then I decided to take a visit to slumber land. Of course not before I cam-whored myself on the bus seat and stole a sleeping picture of the boys. LOL!

Ronn woke up at 6am and he had to drive.. poor thing..
Megat didn't sleep the whole night. plain idiotic (=.=)''

Bye-bye for now KL.. LegoLand here I come!

Toilet break.. waiting for the bus to make a move..

I wished I have more things to tell you about the bus ride like how I had engage an exciting conversation with anyone of them or anything of sorts. Sadly none since we spent the next 4hours of our lives snoozing throughout the 4 hours bus ride. Upon my waking hours before I decided to sleep, how I actually wished Nikita was around. Perhaps the bus ride wouldn’t be such a bore.

Around noon, the bus came into halt on an R&R area. I made the visit to the loo count. God knows how long it will be until I’d see the next toilet. Assumingly my biological clock knows this kind of things, after approximately another 1 hour and 30 minutes of bus ride, which I spent sleeping for the final one hour, then I simply was just too awake for the next 30 minutes so I decide to look out the window and enjoy the view of Johor’s town. We reached Larkin Central around 1.10 in the afternoon and waited another 40 minutes for the bus that goes to LegoLand. While waiting, I got myself some lunch from McD (Thank God for McD being available in the bus station). LegoLand bus finally came around and took around 20-30 minutes before we reached LegoLand.
LEGOLAND!!!

Seeing that LEGOLAND sign on top of hill like how they did with that Hollywood sign back in the US was the best thing I have ever seen. At least it was time to have some serious fun after 4 sleepy hours bus ride. I could have just dash off the bus and run off to the entrance gate if it wasn’t for the fact that Megat had the entrance pass in his back pack. (=.=)’’’

Have you ever heard the expression that says, “Like a Child in a candy store”? It’s something like when you entered a place for the first time and the place is was just too awe-tastic that your eyes just goes a hundred and one places at once and you don't know where to start? Well if you experienced that before, then it’s safe to tell ya’ll that, that is exactly how I felt when I step pass the entrance gate. Sufficiently, I grabbed a LegoLand map. We tackled the theme park from right hand side facing the map and work our way up to the begin point again.

LEGOLAND'S MAP (^_^)v

For start, we couldn’t decide where to go. Obviously being in a theme park you can’t expect to get on to a ride without standing in line for at least 5-15minutes. But we didn’t want to stand in line. So our first stop was the Lego City Stage. They had some play gathered up. We sat there throughout the show enjoying it while I multitask with figuring out where to go next. At first I suggested that we take turns to decide which ride to get on. But after the first ride which Ronn chosen, Lego City Airport. I’m pretty lazy to explain how it looks and how does it work so here’s the pictures of us on it.

Lining up waiting for our turns...
Pictures of us on the airplanes.
Megat didn’t want to be on it so he was the one who took these pictures.

Too bad there's no pink plane.. hahaha :p

Ronn made me choose the green once on purpose!!!

Anyways where were we? Ah yes, taking turns to decide what ride to go next. Well after the first ride, we were again walking aimlessly walking pass both Boating School AND Lego Rescue Academy’s attraction, which both we didn’t get enough time to revisit and have a try on it! Ugh! So walking past that too (Lego Rescue Academy attraction, where we have to jump on something or move something on the ride so the whole ride can move from the starting to the finishing line. I’m not sure how to explain but basically you need your energy to enjoy the attraction), we went to the Lost Kingdom Adventure.
I guess at the end of the day, I realize that we didn’t stop at the boating school especially was because of 2 things. First we didn’t want to start out LEGO adventure with waiting in a line while we could be easily doing other things that don’t require lining up and waiting for turns. Second was because of what Ronn said earlier that day. Something about leaving all the water rides to the last minutes until we have tried every single ride that does not make you wet.

Honestly we did plan to stick to the plan. But after the 2nd ride which was the Lost Kingdom Adventure attraction where he had to shoot stuff, collect points, get our pictures captured (which we eventually didn’t buy any. Seriously who wants to buy a picture that cost us 30 bucks minimum? Crazy!), and mummies waking up from their casket and for some reason Ronn kept screaming... LOL!

Lining up for the Lost Kingdom Attraction

That bloody things there are made from 100% LEGOS
And he goes bang, bang, bang... LOL
Moving on, 3rd ride. Getting out from the Lost Kingdom thingy, I said I wanted to visit the Dino Island. So they were like okay. Obviously I didn’t know it was to be a water ride. If not I would have skipped it. But, I didn’t so we went on and line up. The nearer we get to the core of the line, only then we realized that it was the water ride we saw when we accompany Megat while he get his lunch break in between after Lost Kingdom and before Dino Island. Damn it his meal cost him 22bucks. But judging from the look of the burger, I’d say it was money worth spending.

Lunch Break.. Nothing is cheap!!

Megat's Burger... It's a well deserving 22 bucks burger set..

Going back to the Dino Island incident, well when we realize it was ‘The Water Ride’, it was already too late to go back out. So we went on with it. Since it was a water ride and I did not want to get any of my electronic devices to get wet as well as the reason we did not buy the pictures captured by the camera, can really show you guys our expression. But it’s good enough to say, our faces were terrible! You’d pee in your pants laughing looking at our expression! Going up the water slide was the most gut wrenching experience I’ve ever felt. Have you ever felt that feeling in your abdomen region when you feel like your gut is going up the throat and when you finally hit ground, you just thank God that you didn’t peed or crapped the hell out of your pants? Yeah me too. Oh how I screamed while going down the slope.

Soaking wet, we precede to LEGO Studio 4D Experience. There we watched a LEGO production of The Spellbreaker. I was hoping the 4D Experience was a bit like what I’ve seen in one of Mr. Bean’s sketches where the chair rock from left to right just to capture the true 4D Experience. Instead we were only greeted with water spray and soap-bubble-snow-look-a-like. A bit disappointing but what the hell.

Waiting for the show to start... posing with 3D glasses

Still really wet from Dino Island.. proceed to go to 4D experience...
Gonna get wet again!

Done that, we walked pass the observational tower as it was close due to the thunder and lightning. So we proceed to whatever that came next. Ronn suggested that we go to the Built and Test attraction where we get to build something out of LEGOS and geared mechanism that could make it move around and stuff. But we didn’t went since I personally think it’d just take up our time when we can try out other rides while the weather is a little bit better then turning into a thunder storm. So where did we go next?

Take a wild guess...

Well evidently, we were talking about the roller-coaster rides and how the day couldn’t get any better. Well Megat did most of the talking, mostly about roller-coaster. He was very excited about it. Then we reached LEGO Kingdom region. We entered this place where it’s nearly deserted and went it. While wondering where the entrance to the roller-coaster is we saw from like literally 2 regions away from the LEGO Kingdom region, we entered this castle like, walk up the staircase and took a few pictures along the way. And what should we find at the end of the trail? Yes people. THE ENTRANCE TO THE ROLLER-COASTER!!! Ding, ding, ding!! Jackpot! You see I am a roller-coaster virgin until LEGOLAND happened. And here I was thinking I’d always lose my roller-coaster virginity to Sunway Lagoon’s roller-coaster ride. Anyway, the ride was off the HOOK! Funny how that didn’t made me lose my lunch though it is not biologically possible since it’s been more than 2hours since I consumed my McD’s double cheese burger set.

We have no idea it was the passage to the roller-coaster entrance!!
With the map in hand, I automatically became the attraction coordinator...

Ronn was way ahead.. Nevertheless pictures was a MUST!!

Credits to Ronn who gave the idea for this picture... *Hugs
Done that, we went off to the next attraction. There we saw the smaller version of The Dragon. But right in the moment, we had our sunned moment when we say Project X. How we wanted to ride it so bad. I went for a toilet break when I assigned Ronn and Megat to ask the people in charge is the attraction open for a ride. Sadly it was closed due to the continuous drizzling (like seriously it as drizzling. Not even qualified to be called rain. But it drizzle long enough to keep the place damp and us people wet!), thunder and lightning. So instead we went to TECHNIC Twister. Basically it’s a spinning cup. We had a blast despite our stomach threatening us to throw up our lunch out of the system. Gosh I could barely walk straight after the ride.

Spinning Cup thingy...

Ride haven't started but Megat wanted to look retarded so.. yeah.. HAHAHA....

And round and round it goes..
Note: No lunches were lost during to the end of the ride.

Someone suggest me what to put here... Idk what caption to put.. LOL

Megat: How the hell do u take pictures in this condition??
Me: I have my ways... hahaha...
As soon as we went off the spinning cup thingy, we noticed the earlier closed AQUAZONE Wave Racer had opened. So off we went and line up. Actually, by half the day gone, we didn’t care much for the fact that we are still wet from the first water ride and our perspiration as well as the rain drizzling on us, by the time we went to the AQUAZONE Wave Racer thingy, we were basically thinking of how much fun can we get. It was fun and all but honestly after having a taste of The Dragon, everything else that was meant to be extreme seems tame. This is why they always tell you to save the best for last.

Toilet break.. Mirror frame is LEGO inspired too...

Anyways, once we were done with AWR, Project X was still close. So we decided to proceed to MiniLand where every single monument was built out of LEGOS. I basically went gaga over the whole thing. I must have snapped more than 50 pictures on the sculptures themselves. Here are some of my best works.
Megat had to look for me in the MiniLand as I was going gaga over them when he broke the news to me that the Project X has finally opened. Just before we dash off to Project X, we snapped few pictures with the Hollywood look-a-like LEGOLAND lettering on the hill as a background.

THEY ALMOST LOOK LIKE THE REAL THING ON THE REAL PLACE...

THEY ALMOST LOOK LIKE THE REAL THING ON THE REAL PLACE...

LEGOLAND AS THE BACKGROUND... Lady behind me is so photobombing me.. (=.=)'''

I always take good pictures of people..
Sad how people can't seem to get it right with my  face on it...
Project X was only slightly less awesome in comparison of The Dragon. But it was awesome nonetheless.
Last ride we had was the also recently reopened Observation Tower. It was around 6.45 in the evening and seriously, it was a really nice way to end the trip. Took a few snaps of the scenery thought it was less than satisfactory since the glass were all fogged up due to the rain and the air-cond in the capsulate.

The view from the Observatory Tower.
I edited the picture as much as possible so ya'll can see the view cuz originally the picture was all fogged up.
This is the best I can do.

Perfect way to end the day...

Poor guy.. he was too tired dy..

Seriously none of his pix seem less retarded from the previous once.. (=.=)'''
Thank you Mr. Time Keeper..
Then we made our way to the merchandise shop where Ronn and Megat went all out shopping for souvenirs. (=.=)’’’ I bought myself a key chain in the shape of a LEGO brick. I wanted to buy W one too but seems it ain’t worth it. Especially how he been treating me recently? Well forget about it.

Christmas Tree made of LEGOS...

OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE SHOPPING TIME!!!

OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE SHOPPING TIME!!!

Done shopping, we walked out and went to wait for the last bus to go back to Larkin. But of course not before taking loads of pictures in front of the LEGOLAND’S main gate.

Bye-Bye LEGOLAND... It has been a wonderful day...
When the bus came, it waited for another 10 minutes to give the people chance to get everyone back to Larkin. Like everything else in life, trip going back is always feels faster. Once we reached Larkin, we split ways for an hour or so with Megat. We thought he went to the loo and will look for us once he’s done with whatever business he had with the toilet. So we went ahead to get our dinner in McD. As soon as we finished eating, the bus came. We went to the toilet then as I was walking out; I bumped into Megat who apparently went to grab dinner in some other place. We went into the bus and experienced another 4 long hours of bus ride. This time going back to KL. How did we spent it? Well you’ve guessed it. We slip into slumberland.

Reached KL sometime around 1 in the morning, Megat went to smoke his lungs out while we waited in the car then off we went to send Megat to his house. Only after that, that we finally we reached Ronn’s house and could get a proper clean up and rest. I took my shower and borrowed Ronn’s hair dryer. As soon as I was done ironing my hair, I was already mentally asleep half way lying down the bed.

Over all, it was a great trip. I had so much fun and god knows when will we be able to do it again. But for now, it’ll be my favourite memory. I was around good company, we had fun, we let loose and for a day, we didn’t give a f*ck to whatever people would think about us while we are having the time of our lives. To Ronn and Megat, I don’t know about you boys, but I really had fun that day and will ever more so be grateful to have embraced the YOLO term for a day.

Love,
Farcella M.
